Account Deletion

Information regarding your data and account removal.

Important Notice

Once your account deletion request is processed, all your personal data, saved financial transactions (on the cloud), and associated information will be permanently deleted from our servers. This action is irreversible.

How to request account deletion

Currently, account deletion requests for the Budget Tracker app are handled via email to ensure security and proper verification of ownership.

  1. Send an email to budgettracker.fc@gmail.com.
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request - Budget Tracker".
  3. Send the email from the exact email address that is registered with your Budget Tracker (Google Sign-In) account.
  4. Please state explicitly that you wish to delete your account and all associated cloud data.

Data Retention & Deletion Process

  • Your request will be processed within 7-14 business days.
  • Once initiated, all profile information, preferences, and backed-up transaction data stored on our Firebase servers will be wiped.
  • We do not retain any residual copies of your personal information once the deletion process is complete.
  • Note: Deleting your account on our servers does not automatically uninstall the app from your device or delete the local Room database on your phone. You can clear your local data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in your Android settings.
